I've been wanting to bake crinkles but I couldn't find time because my entire day is spent with my kids. One day, while Yuri was asleep and Caleb was still in a good mood, I decided to take the challenge. Yes, I consider inserting extra curriclar activities a challenge because 1.) it eats up time, 2.) my kids are unpredictable and can throw tantrums anytime and 3.) it's just so difficult and dangerous to have kids in the kitchen while I work.
Luckily, everything fell into place and my crinkles are perfectly cooked. My family loved it and my husband gave praises to it.
For two consecutive weeks, I was given a great privilege to unwind in Tagaytay. First was with Vincent's college blockmates and the other was with my college barkada.
January 9-10, 2016
It was our first time to take Caleb with us on a long drive spent with friends. We got so busy with our lives that having a vacation wasn't really an option. Now that our kids are a bit older, we are slowly putting our traveler shoes on. We stayed in a beautiful rest house that is beside the village's park. It has a playground suited for kids and adults.
Caleb definitely had a great time playing on the slide. It was so nice to see his genuine smile and his carefree self roaming around the grounds and just enjoying every minute of it.
It's good that Vincent got to celebrate his birthday with his friends as well. And it was just so relaxing to be with friends in cold weather in a beautiful place.
January 16-17, 2016
This time around I was the only one who went to this trip because we couldn't find someone to look after Yuri. So, Vincent gladly took charge and allowed me to have some 'mommy time' with my barkada.
I'd say I have been longing for this mommy break for a long time and it was awesome to have spent it with the girls. It was so refreshing to be out and to be with myself without having to worry about the comfort of my children. It was just all about me, and it was like remembering the days when I was not yet preoccupied with all the mommy duties on the task list.
I feel really blessed to have had this trip because I know for a fact that it helped me feel renewed as an individual, as a wife, and as a mom. Now that I have regained myself, I am now energized to even give the best that I can in raising our little household.
Thank you, Lord for the days that you allow us the time to have fun with our friends. :)
We were lucky to be given tickets to Manila Ocean Park as a Christmas present from Caleb's Ninang, Kaye. I've been there before when I was still single, and Vincent and Caleb have also explored the place last year but Caleb was still too young then. So, I got really excited to use this pass as a mini family getaway. :)
Caleb wasn't really interested in any of the sea creatures that we saw. Not even the professional sea lion didn't catch his attention. I'd say he had more fun exploring Yexel's Toy Museum because it has Minions and Lightning McQueen in it. He was actually asking me for trucks, which is his current obsession.
I admit, it was me who had fun the most. Haha. Not because I admire the sharks and the penguins, but because I was just so happy to spend an entire day with my family. Not to mention the fact that I was out and about - away from my usual mommy-routine. It's nice to have some fresh activities from time to time.
Sometimes I miss having my personal space. Those days when I can just lay in bed and peacefully close my eyes; sit in a sofa and read a book; or just blankly stare for a few minutes.
Today, I am being touched by my children for the entire day. I am not against it. In fact, it melts my heart to see them longing for me. But there are days when I just feel like having the time all for myself - even for just a few minutes (15 minutes can be heaven to me).
This is what happens every day:
I have my eyes on both my kids all the time. Caleb's form of play is through throwing his toys everywhere - yes, even at me or worse at Yuri. So, I have to be the living shield of Yuri against all flying objects because Caleb is just unstoppable. Sometimes when I'm not looking, Caleb would push Yuri making him painfully distressed because he fell head first. There are times when I catch Yuri munching on pieces of cardboard from one of the flash cards. Caleb can be really into 'off limits' stuff like pens, pencils, papers, etc. which he somehow finds ways to reach from the table.
You see, there are lots of things that could happen if I close my eyes for a quick nap while the kids are playing. If I did, one of them would end up hurting the other. Of course, every mom wants a tantrum-free environment so it's always best to prevent such circumstances.
My point is, I get tired too. Others think that there's nothing so difficult about staying home and looking after a child. Whoever you are, you're wrong. Be my guest and take care of my children. Let's see if you'd even have a tangle-free hair at the end of the day.
I get too tired that all I want is to sit and relax for just a little time - a time all for myself. But no, I sit in an inviting sofa and my toddler sits beside me. I lay down and my little one crawls over my face and body, worst part is when my toddler jumps on me. It isn't the most relaxing position for me so far. I could end up with broken bones.
The 15-minute serenity is non-existent at least until my children graduate from toddlerhood. I have no other choice but to enjoy every clinging, carrying and body-hurting affection of my children. They say, this too shall pass and day will come when I'll miss every exhausting moments while taking care of my two boys.
Today, I got really pissed at Caleb for not listening to me and more importantly for continuously hurting his 7-month old brother. He had so many rounds of pushing, laying over, and carrying Yuri by the neck. Everytime I scold him he just won't listen. Maybe to him, it's a form of play.
So, I raised the flag of a supermom and tried my very best to discipline Caleb. My husband and I had some attempts in doing the 'Stand in the Corner' scheme but we think that he's too young to understand. Today, I gave it another try.
I had to spank his hand to scare him and to let him know how mad I am, and how bad the action he did. I don't want to hurt my kids but at some point it's a tool to raising disciplined and well-behaved human beings so I have to do it.
He was crying the whole time and I successfully got him to stand in a specific corner. He tried to break the rule by sitting. Of course, I stuck to the rule of literally letting him stand in the corner. So far, he understands the situation.
Now, it's time to explain why he was being punished and for how long he needs to stand there. Obviously, it won't make sense to him when I said 'You will stand there until Mommy says so!', so I set my phone in alarm for 3 minutes. I told him that the punishment is over once the phone alarms. Okay...so far he still understands. At the back of my mind I'm praying that this would be effective so that once and for all, I could discipline him. Yes, I'm getting tired of trying to excuse him for being too young to be disciplined.
In all fairness to him, he obeyed. Although, I knew he was testing me (let's see how serious mom is) by trying to sit or move out of the corner. But the mama power is more powerful than his cute crying self. I was staring at him with mad eyes, really mad eyes just to let him know that 'Hey, this is serious and I'm not playing around!'
The alarm saved him. I was silently jumping with joy because it was a successful, healthy way of punishing.
Hopefully, it made sense to him. More importantly, i hope he remembers what happened tomorrow and the coming days. May the words STAND IN THE CORNER be the cue to his unwanted, longest and most crucial 4 minutes (or more, depending on how bad the situation is) of his toddler life.
When I got pregnant with my second child, my firstborn was just 9 months old. The first thing I asked myself was, "Kaya ko ba?" Just thinking about going through pregnancy, labor and delivery the second time around made me nervous. Of course, the bigger dilemma was, "Will my sanity be able to handle two kids with different needs?" I prayed and held on to my faith that God puts you in a situation because He knows that you can surpass it.
So, here are some things that I learned on my journey to raising two kids in close age gap.
• Introduce your older child at an early stage.
When my baby bump started to show, I didn't know if my 1-year old noticed or was curious about it. I told him that his baby brother was inside and I constantly asked him to kiss and pet my tummy. Soon, when I asked where his baby brother was, he happily points at my bump.
• First meet-up is vital.
As I carried Yuri with me on his first night at home, I saw that Caleb was curious and as if full of questions he couldn't say. The initial thing we told him was, "This is your baby brother. Give him a kiss." As expected, he refused. The next day, I tried again and he obeyed. From then on, kissing Yuri was like a form of play to him. I think that the way parents introduce their kids for the first time is really important. Kissing (affection) as their first activity together programs Caleb's mind that his younger brother is someone dear and close at heart.
• Keep the older one involved.
Since Caleb is only 1 year old, my fear was that he might not understand me yet. I was wrong. Our Kuya comprehends really well. I can ask him to swing the duyan, shake the bottle of milk, hand me a diaper (or anything else he could carry), and even delay our playtime until his sibling falls asleep. Being involved gives him a sense of responsibility towards his brother, and that is what we want him to remember.
• Follow a routine.
This is the most important part for me. You have to be able to form a schedule that will benefit both of them, making sure that they have enough time for play and sleep. Caleb gets tired and is ready for bed after 5 long hours of play. Yuri, on the other hand, still doesn't have a pattern to follow. He is mostly awake in the morning (naps for about 30 minutes or less) and asleep at 6pm onwards (yey! More things to do for me). I managed to make a routine that allows me to rest as early as 8pm, right on time for dinner and teleseryes. Hehe. Having a schedule will give not only my children but also us parents, a stress-free day. Remember, it's not a privilege to run around the house like a zombie at 10pm because your child refuses to sleep! Also, make sure to get plenty of 'me' time on your sched, right when the babies are at their dreamland.
• Composure is the key.
"May I have a relaxed day ahead. Please shower me with patience and understanding." This is my prayer before I start my day. A baby plus a toddler can really be mind-blowing at times. It's a test of how much you can control yourself. I believe that the way I carry myself from the moment I wake up will affect my children's mood throughout the day. I don't want to be the monster mom my children have to deal with just because I didn't have a good night's sleep or because I was too mad at petty things. Your inner self has to be better than the rage of emotions that you will have. It's all about setting my mind that "Today is a good day. I won't lose my temper even if situations ask me to."
.Avoid the distance.
It's natural for parents to be overly protective even if it's the other child who may cause harm. "Huwag ka nga diyan, tatamaan mo kapatid mo!"; "Go to the room and play with your toys." are just examples of the daily dialogue of parents. As much as possible parents don't want the older child to be near the delicate baby. While parents mean no harm, it might have a different effect on the older sibling. I allow Caleb to touch Yuri all the time, of course, under my supervision. I only stop him when I know that despite his intentions to be playful, it might also be dangerous for Yuri (putting his toes on Yuri's nose for him to smell, pokes Yuri's eyes, nose and ears out of curiosity, jumps non-stop right where Yuri is peacefully laid down). The freedom to have close contact with the baby gives Caleb the concept of having a place in his brother's life. That way, he won't feel outcasted now that Mom and Dad are too focused on the new addition to the family.
Here are some of the guidelines I managed to form that helps me get through the everyday hustle of having a baby and a toddler. The rest are yet to be discovered!
Mums are busy machines working 24/7. With all the tasks needed to be done, I admit that sometimes I get too focused on ticking off the items on the task list. The downside is, I skip the important part of parenting - PLAY.
My mind eyeing the goal, say, I'm trying to feed Caleb and he decides to throw food all over or run around the house, I become impatient and irritable because my thinking is I still have tons of things to do and yet here I am forcing my son to eat who happens to be hyperactive and won't listen to me. I think I'm wasting time.
Picture this: I give all possible distractions and animations (spoon pretends to be a plane, I act as if I just ate the most delicious food in the world, cartoons played on tv, etc.) just to make Caleb eat while I cradle Yuri who, on the other hand, refuses to be put in bed. In between feedings, I try to stop Caleb from climbing unsafe furniture, or I start picking up pieces of food thrown on the floor. All these I try to do patiently.
One day I got really pissed on all the wasted food, effort and time in making my toddler eat. I wanted to scream in frustration and eventually shed tears if I really couldn't control my emotions. I thought 'This happens every single day. That's it! You don't want to eat, fine! I did my part and you had your chance!'
Just at the same moment, a TV commercial of Nestle's Chuckie was playing the last part which flashed the words:
Minsan lang sila maging bata, sabayan mo na.
It really hit me and guilt was flowing all over my system. What do kids really want to do? Play, right? Everything is some sort of play. Put them on the dining table and they make sounds with utensils; give him a book and he'll end up munching on it; let him sit on a chair to watch and you'll see him running around. With their curious minds, what else are they supposed to do? They just can't help it.
After watching the TV ad again with the parting lyrics of "She may be my mom but she's always a buddy to me.", I decided I would put play as our priority. I would lie if I say I didn't care about the chores I have yet to do, but my children's happiness come first. It's true, they won't be the same naughty kids who make heart-melting and silly gestures when they're older. You won't be able to kiss, hug and tickle them when they're already taller than you.
I told my husband about the touching and eye-opening ad, so now it serves as our reminder that despite our kids making us very impatient and furious at times, it is best to kick the bad vibes aside, put out a smile, unleash the kid in you and play with your little angels.
Having a busy parenting life like ours means no time for dates, dinner-outs or any form of socializing. We stay at home most of the time or if our energy permits us, we take the kids out. But having a toddler and a newborn is just pure chaos when you're in public places. Our only regular activity is to go to Church on Sundays and have lunch-outs with family from time to time.
As much as we want to meet with friends, it's best if they come visit us at home. Last Saturday, my friend Hanna and her boyfriend Tim dropped by to see us and the kids, of course.
It's nice to have friends whom you could share your stories with, exchange advises based on our experiences, have a good laugh with and talk about future plans. It's like a breather from being with the same people you're with 24/7. I'm not saying that I'm fed up with the sight of my husband nor my children because they mean the world to me, but sometimes the presence of others adds excitement to our regular life. I think that the saying 'no man is an island' is also applicable to families.
At this point in our lives, it's a great idea to invest on having good relationships with friends whom you know would stick with you until you're old. Somebody you can call when the doctor says you're sick, when your child has gone astray or when you just simply want to have afternoon teas with. This is exactly the time when quality outweighs quantity. I don't have a lot of friends but the few people I have now are the ones I know I could keep.
Tim and Hanna have plans of their own and we couldn't hide our excitement as we imagined our family dates together. This is the second time they visited us and we enjoyed hours of catching up over food (I made them Tuna Pasta) and drinks. Although, we didn't have a peaceful talk until we were able to put the kids to bed. Haha.
Thank you dear God for reminding us that these are people we could trust and hold hands with when you throw rocks at us.
Cooking is my happy hobby. Sometimes I scroll on Pinterest interesting dishes, and if I find something feasible, I couldn't wait to make it. Of course, the kids are my major distractions that's why I have to make it late at night when they're asleep.
Today I made Chicken Curry. My husband loves curry so I might as well try making one for him. It's my first attempt and I found a way to make it in a short time. I used McCormick's Yellow Curry Mix which I found in the grocery. It has simple instructions: brown the chicken, dilute the powder, pour in chicken, add coconut milk and simmer. I had some revisions because I didn't want to end up with malansang chicken. So, I happily sauted it in garlic, onions, ginger and fish sauce. Then I added eggplants for the veggie factor. Instead of coconut milk (which I don't have), I used all purpose cream. I don't know if that's acceptable but it's all I have.
I tasted it and there's something odd or missing for me, but I didn't want to add anything else because I might destroy the supposed flavor of the curry mix. Hopefully, when my husband eats it tonight, he'll approve of it.
Family is one of the greatest gifts humankind has ever received, and I am just so lucky that I have the best bunch! My sister and her husband got back from Canada for a 3-week vacation here in the Philippines. As a family bonding, we booked an overnight stay at La Luz Resort in Laiya, Batangas. It was a long drive but it was all worth it. :)
It’s always good to invest in a well-respected family relationship because at the end of the day, it will all come down to each other’s love and understanding. I owe our beautiful family ties to our parents who raised us to become the loving person that we are today.
Having lost our Papa at an early stage made us accept and love each other better. We learned to accept each person’s positive and negative side, we never missed to guide, we stick together at all times, we go up and never pull one down, well, basically, it’s all about taking our love deeper than usual.
We’re a growing family now and how we all wished that Papa were here to witness every milestone that her daughters have. I know he’s proud of who and how we've become now. :)
Mamahood has become a little challenging now that I am eight months pregnant. My days are filled with body aches, laziness, sleepiness, and heaviness. I feel like my weight has doubled that I tend to have shortness of breath when I am on the go. I could hardly go up the stairs without pausing in between several steps. I have the hardest time picking up Caleb’s toys or just anything that requires bending. I take a good five-minute interval just to change my position in bed and to try to stand up. I feel like I have an old person’s body. The worst part is, I couldn't just spend the day lying down on bed because I have a one-year old to look after to, who, by the way, is at his peak of curiosity (imagine ALL the things he could pick on every minute of the day).
There are days when I have those MOMENTS when I couldn't handle the situation (Caleb is acting up and my patience have ran out) and end up crying and asking for more PATIENCE. I am a hands-on, full-time mom and I love every bit of it, but sometimes moms can only take so much.
To be honest, I am quite scared of how will I be able to handle two kids once Uri (baby number 2) has popped out. I've been thinking and I couldn't get any idea at all. I guess I’ll cross the bridge when I get there. It’s going to be tough, that’s for sure but I know that it will all pass and I’ll see myself reminiscing on how great I was to overcome that phase.
My 37th week is on the last week of May. I have a few more days to be physically and emotionally ready. I pray for PATIENCE and STRENGTH so that I may get through the day feeling fulfilled.
I didn't know what to feel when I learned that I was pregnant on my second baby right when Caleb is only nine months old. The memories of how painful I went through during giving birth are still fresh and I am yet to experience another one soon. Plus, I don’t feel I have recovered well physically and emotionally. I am still on a roller coaster ride as a wife and as a mom.
Looking at the brighter side, I know that not everyone is gifted to have children. Vincent and I are lucky or should I say blessed to have been given such a great opportunity – parenthood! We may both be newbies at this but we’re getting by each day and so far, I can say that we’re doing okay. Caleb at 1 year old is a sweet and loving boy.
We decided to pop the big news once we knew the gender, and just recently I underwent an ultrasound. It’s a BOY! I prayed for a girl but having another boy gives me the same excitement. I now have three boys who will take care of me. :)
I know that it’s going to be tough and I am praying for all sources of PATIENCE and UNDERSTANDING as I go through the second level of motherhood.
I am now on my 6th month and chaos is just around the corner! More power to me and other moms like me!
For new moms like me, I think it's nice to have some fun from time to time. Not that I'm not having fun with Caleb and at home, but there's a different kind of fun where you get to spend time with old friends and just talk about life. It's like bringing back your old lifestyle and just simply going with the flow without having to think about household chores.
I'm happy that I was able to spend some hours with my good friend whom I haven't seen for a long time. We talked about each other's current life status and I'm glad that she's at a better state now. She used to visit me and cry herself to sleep, but today she was like the same person back in college - happy and contented.
Yanna is a friend who despite the distance and time apart, we remain friends. You know that she's being sincere when she tells you she's happy for you, no judgements, no backstabbing. That's what I like about her. She's like a sponge that absorbs all my stories whether they're good or bad. :)
I'm lucky to have found a friend in her and I know that we'll remain friends until we get old. Until our next bonding, Yanna! :)
Like others, Valentine's Day is something I look forward to. It's because I know that it's supposed to be a day spent with your partner. I fancy any kind of 'date' as long as Vincent and I are together. I'm not the kind who prefers (although I'd be glad to have one) a formal, candle lit dinner, or a surprise getaway. Vincent is not that type so I guess I just got used to it aside from the fact that that isn't really my personality as well. But who doesn't want a romantic, all-in date right? :)
Last year, we managed to ask my mother-in-law to look after our two-month old Caleb. We had an expensive Japanese dinner at Mr. Kurosawa. The part that I got really smitten was when I received a bouquet of flowers from Vincent via email. I was smiling the whole day. He isn't really sweet by nature so little acts like this makes me really 'kilig'!
This year was a lot simpler. No bouquets, no cards, no surprises. We had the night to ourselves and celebrated the love day satisfying our Mexican craving and strolling around the mall just like what we used do when we were still boyfriend and girlfriend. It felt really refreshing to be alone with my husband even for a short time. No baby to look after and finally, a decent and peaceful meal (no baby to try to control his tantrums).
Thanks to my reliable sister who took care of Caleb that night. She knows hat I've been waiting for that 'date night' so she was really very supportive about it.
Married life is new to me as well as parenthood. But one thing's for sure, couples should always have time for each other. It's important that we don't lose that spark just because we are preoccupied with household duties and responsibilities. There's no harm in asking your relatives from time to time to look after your kids even for just a couple of hours...or more! :)
I have this odd attitude that I tend to cry when things get out of my hand - things that make me mad, happy, tired, fed up. My emotions get too strong that my body's number one reaction is to cry.
Now that I have a one year old, there are times when no matter how much I try to keep things on track, there will always be instances that situations drive me crazy. One example is when Caleb decides to play and play and play during his bedtime, or worse at 4 in the morning. It usually happens when I am tired for the whole day or I still have tons of things to tick off my to-do list. When all I want is to have a shower and sit on the sofa comfortably. When I want some time to just even brush my hair or to poo peacefully. Yes, motherhood is tough and I'm supposed to be tougher.
Yesterday, we went to Church and the homily was just perfect. It's like talking to God.
"Be happy to know that you are needed."
It's true. I felt that I realize my purpose more. That my family wouldn't be able to stand tall if not for my contributions. Contributions that may look simple but are essential such as preparing food, giving Caleb a bath, preparing his clothes, cleaning his bum when he poos, providing clean bed sheets for a comfortable sleep, etc. I myself see these things as irrelevant and just a tiny piece compared to what my husband provides. But today, I have a better perspective of myself, my routine, my duties, my PURPOSE.
It's great to know that what you do benefits other people especially your family. To all new moms like me who sometimes feel like life is hitting them with stones, always remember that it's a always a FULFILLMENT to SERVE your family. Having downtimes and stressful nights are just part of the drama! :)
Today, my husband had a heavy feet and decided to work from home. I was ecstatic because these are rare times that Caleb and I get to bond with him on a weekday.
I think Caleb is aware that his father is around too because he refused to follow our daily routine. He's excited that he was up from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM. He usually takes his afternoon naps at around 12 NN, but now that Vincent is around, I think he wanted to spend time with him.
I could see in his eyes that he's starting to get tired and sleepy but still opted to play. I had to carry him and make him sleep or else he'd end up taking a nap at around 5 PM and would wake up at 8 PM, which usually is his bedtime.
I believe that setting a routine for your baby is helpful because you get to plan your day. I'm a control freak and I always want to have a set plan for the day. Just by seeing that Caleb and I are able to follow our daily routine makes me comfortable (at least I get to know the times when I can relax and have some time for myself).
Although that routine changes as he grows up, it still is a good idea to set one. I find it a healthy tool to make sure that my baby gets a balanced sleep and play activities everyday.
My love for food makes me imagine different types of anything edible. Out of nowhere I thought of asizzling bangus that's overloaded with gravy. It's actually the gravy that I craved for not the fish itself.
I think I'm becoming a great cook as time goes by because there are times when I don't follow recipes, I just try to imagine how it's done and then I'm able to come up with a delicious dish. It really makes me happy especially for someone who doesn't have any background in cooking.
Last night, I decided to give this dish a try. I was so happy at how it turned out that I took a photo and posted it online! My husband loved it too and that's the best part. :)
I was craving for gyoza one time, but I knew that eating out would be costly. Of course, I'd end up ordering not only gyoza but other stuff as well. Hehe.
I scanned different recipies on Pinterest and I encountered some with hard-to-find ingredients. Good thing I found one that has ingredients that I already have in the pantry.
Making it was easy (with the help of a foos processor) because you just need to mix everything together. But assembling them in dumpling wrappers took most of the time. I also figured that the secret to the gyoza was the taste of cabbage and sesame oil. Once I put those two it instantly smelled like a legit gyoza!
I have my family to give it a try and they loved it, especially my sister. Unfortunately, my husband is not a fan of gyoza so when I asked if it was delicious he said that he doesn't really know the taste of a real gyoza but he thinks it is similar to what I made.
Experimenting on food is a great hobby to satisfy not only myself but the entire family as well. :)
Baking always has a special spot in my heart. I don't know why but, somehow I find peace when baking despite all the mess it involves. I started baking when I got pregnant in 2013. I didn't have a job to pre-occupy myself so my husband and I decided to give baking a try. Who knew I have a talent for this that I was able to start an online business for desserts. I thank God for this talent. :)
Now that I have a 1-year old, 90% of my time is alloted for him and baking is my least priority at the moment even though I find it as a stress reliever. Maybe, when my kids already go to school would be the best time to start exploring in the kitchen again.
This is the latest creation I did for the second time. Luckily, my sister was free to look after Caleb so I had enough time to do all the clutter. It's tough though, to work fast paced because I didn't want to bother other people in taking care of my child. In short, baking is one of those "irrelevant tasks" that I can leave undone.
Anyway, I'm just glad that even at second try, my cupcakes were a blast! I used a better tool for the frosting compared to the previous one, so it looked way better this time around.
My husband even wanted me to look at the costing for possible addition to our products.
I see myself working in the kitchen again with my apron on and oven preheating in the near future. It's something that I wouldn't give up even when I get old. :)
Where I am today is exactly what I prayed for years ago - I wanted to be a housewife. 'Housewife' for me meant having a perfect (well, nothing's perfect, right?) life which includes a loving and selfless husband, a healthy child, a simple home, financially able and stable, etc.
I remember having a grown-up conversation with my friends while we were literally behind the flowing water of a beautiful falls in Oslob, Cebu where each of us were supposed to answer the question "How would you rate your life today?" I confidently answered 9 out of 10. Actually, I could give 10 but I know that it's always best to give room for improvement. It might sound exaggerated but that's how I feel at the moment.
When I have bad days, like days when I sometimes get fed up with motherly duties, I never fail to see how blessed I am for the life that I have today. And I just can't stop thanking God for granting me my long-time prayer - to have a family with the love of my life.
And before I let the stress out of my system in a negative way, I stop, breathe and remember over and over how beautiful my life is. Then in an instant all the negativity disappears.
Prayer:
I cannot thank you enough for blessing me with a beautiful family. May we be a good example to others, especially to families that are troubled. Amen.
